French Chicken Tarte Tatin
A twist on the classic Tarte Tatin, this recipe features juicy chicken and a rich, caramelized sauce.
Ingredients

- β2 lbs tarte tatin applesa mix of sweet and tart apples
- β2 tbsp butterunsalted
- β2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- β1/4 tsp cinnamon
- β1/8 tsp nutmeg
- β1/2 tsp salt
- β2 tbsp sugar
- β1 eggbeaten
- β1/4 cup heavy cream

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Peel, core, and halve the apples.

In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.

Add the halved apples and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

Add the sugar, beaten egg, and heavy cream to the bowl and whisk until smooth.

Arrange the chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the chicken with the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter.
