Dutch Stew with Gruyère
A hearty and flavorful stew made with tender beef, root vegetables, and a rich Gruyère sauce.
Ingredients
- ●1 1/2 pounds Beef Stew Meat
- ●2 medium Onions
- ●4 medium Carrots
- ●2 large Potatoes
- ●1 cup Dutch Stew
- ●1/2 cup, grated Gruyère Cheese
- ●2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
- ●2 tablespoons All-purpose Flour
- ●to taste Black Pepper

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the onions and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the carrots and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Add the beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the Dutch stew, tomato paste, and flour. Stir to combine.

Add the potatoes and enough broth to cover the meat and vegetables.

Bring to a boil, then cover and transfer to the oven.

Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 2 1/2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
