Tunisian Smoked Chicken Shawarma
A flavorful and aromatic sandwich filled with smoky chicken, topped with crunchy vegetables and served on a crusty flatbread.
Ingredients

- β2 teaspoons smoked paprikaoptional
- β1 teaspoon tunisian spice blendavailable at most middle eastern markets
- β4-6 inches flatbreadpreferably day-old
- β1 medium red onionthinly sliced
- β1 medium tomatothinly sliced
- β1 medium cucumberthinly sliced
- β1 cup lettuceshredded
- β2 tablespoons tahinioptional

In a large bowl, whisk together smoked paprika, tunisian spice blend, salt, and pepper.

Add the chicken breast to the bowl and toss to coat with the spice mixture.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken breast to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

Transfer the chicken to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing into thin strips.

Warm the flatbread in the oven or in a dry skillet for a few minutes.
