Filipino Kaldereta Macaroni Casserole
A creamy, rich, and hearty Filipino-inspired macaroni casserole dish made with ground beef and served with a side of steamed vegetables.
Ingredients

- β8 ounces Macaroniany shape
- β2 cups Kaldereta sauceavailable in most Asian grocery stores
- β1 cup Cheddar cheeseshredded
- β1 cup Milkwhole or 2%
- β2 tablespoons Butterunsalted
- β1 medium Onionchopped
- β2 cloves Garlicminced
- β1 cup Tomato saucecanned

Preheat oven to 350Β°F.

Cook the macaroni in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened.

Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking into small pieces.

Add the kaldereta sauce, tomato sauce, and cooked macaroni. Stir to combine.

Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Top with shredded cheddar cheese and milk.
