Classic Italian Lasagna
A classic Italian dish made with layers of pasta, meat sauce, and melted cheese.
Ingredients
- β1 pound ground beef80% lean
- β8-10 lasagna noodles pasta
- β2 cups marinara sauce
- β1 cup ricotta cheese
- β2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- β1 cup parmesan cheese
- β1/4 cup fresh basilchopped
- β1 tablespoon italian seasoning

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions.

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Add the marinara sauce to the skillet and stir to combine.

In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, and italian seasoning.

Spread a layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Arrange 4 lasagna noodles on top of the meat sauce.

Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles.

Sprinkle with half of the shredded mozzarella cheese.

Repeat the layers, starting with the meat sauce, noodles, ricotta cheese mixture, and mozzarella cheese.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
