Spicy Korean Tamarind Chicken Skewers
Tender chicken pieces marinated in a sweet and spicy Korean-inspired tamarind sauce, grilled to perfection on skewers.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Boneless chicken breastCut into 1-inch pieces
- β2 tablespoons Tamarind pasteDiluted with 2 tablespoons water
- β1 tablespoon Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- β1 tablespoon Honey
- β1 tablespoon Soy sauce
- β2 tablespoons Rice vinegar
- β1 teaspoon Hot sauce (gochugaru)
- β2 cloves GarlicMinced
- β1/4 cup Green onionsChopped
- β1 tablespoon Sesame oil

In a blender or food processor, combine tamarind paste, gochujang, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, hot sauce, and garlic. Blend until smooth.

In a large bowl, whisk together tamarind mixture, sesame oil, and 2 tablespoons water.

Add chicken to the marinade and mix well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

Thread marinated chicken onto skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.
