Healing Kleftiko with Greek Lamb
A traditional Greek slow-cooked lamb recipe, perfect for a hangover cure. The tender lamb and aromatic herbs will help soothe your soul.
Ingredients
- β1.5 kg Lamb shoulder
- β2 tbsp Olive oil
- β1 large Onionchopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 sprigs Rosemaryfresh
- β1 sprig Thymefresh
- β1 tsp Salt
- β1 tsp Black pepper

Preheat your oven to 150Β°C (300Β°F)

In a large bowl, mix together olive oil, onion, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and black pepper

Add the lamb shoulder to the bowl and coat it evenly with the marinade

Transfer the lamb to a large Dutch oven or a heavy oven-safe pot with a lid

Cover the pot with a lid and transfer it to the preheated oven

Braise the lamb for 3 hours or until it's tender and falls apart easily

Remove the lamb from the pot and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing

Strain the juices from the pot and discard the solids

Serve the sliced lamb with the strained juices spooned over the top
