Canadian Pecan Stew
A hearty stew with a unique twist of pecans, perfect for the Canadian winter. This dish combines the classic stew flavors with the crunch of pecans.
Ingredients
- β500g beef stew meat
- β1 onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- β2 cups beef broth
- β1 cup red wine
- β1/2 cup pecanschopped
- β2 tbsp tomato paste
- β1 tsp dried thyme
- β1 tsp salt
- β1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Add onion and garlic, cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add flour and cook for 1 minute.

Add beef broth, red wine, and tomato paste. Stir to combine.

Return beef to pot and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 2 hours.
