Tiger's Prawn Rasam
A spicy and flavorful Indian-inspired soup made with prawns and a blend of warming spices. Serve as a light and refreshing meal or as a side dish.
Ingredients
- β12 prawnspeeled and deveined
- β1 medium onion
- β1 inch ginger
- β3 cloves garlic
- β1 tsp cumin seeds
- β1 tsp coriander powder
- β1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- β1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- β2 tsp tamarind paste
- β2 tsp rasam powder

Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.

Add onion, ginger, and garlic. Saute until the onion is translucent.

Add prawns and cook until they are pink and cooked through.

Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and rasam powder. Mix well.

Add tamarind paste and mix well.

Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.

Season with salt to taste.

Serve hot with a dollop of yogurt and a sprinkle of cilantro.
