Shrimp and Saffron Paella
A classic Spanish paella dish packed with succulent shrimp and infused with the warmth of saffron. Serve with a side of garlic bread for a complete meal.
Ingredients
- β1/2 teaspoon saffron threadshigh-quality saffron is essential for this dish
- β1 pound shrimppeeled and deveined
- β1 cup paella ricepreferably Spanish rice
- β1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β2 tablespoons lemon juice
- β2 tablespoons olive oil
- β1 red bell pepperdiced
- β1 oniondiced
- β1 tomatodiced

Heat the olive oil in a large paella pan over medium-high heat.

Add the diced onion and red bell pepper and cook until tender.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the diced tomato and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add the smoked paprika, saffron threads, and shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add the paella rice and stir to coat with the oil and mix with the vegetables.
