Saudi Arabian Brown Rice Bowl
A flavorful and healthy rice bowl dish inspired by the cuisine of Saudi Arabia, made with brown rice and a variety of spices.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Brown Ricelong-grain
- β1/2 cup Noodlesindulgent noodles
- β2 tbsp Vegetable Oilfor frying
- β1 small Onionchopped
- β2 inches Gingergrated
- β1 tsp Cuminground
- β1 tsp Corianderground
- βto taste Saltoptional
- βto taste Black Pepperoptional
Instructions

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the grated ginger and cook for another minute.

Add the brown rice and stir to coat with the oil and mix with the onion and ginger.

Add 2 cups of water to the saucepan and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 18-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.

While the rice is cooking, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a separate pan over medium heat.

Add the indulgent noodles and cook until lightly toasted, about 2-3 minutes.

Stir in the ground cumin and coriander, and cook for another minute.

To assemble the bowls, divide the cooked brown rice among four bowls, then top with the toasted noodles and any desired garnishes.
