Syrian Lentil Pilaf
A hearty and flavorful Syrian-inspired lentil pilaf, perfect for a comforting meal. Made with wholesome ingredients and a blend of spices.
Ingredients
- β1 cup green lentilsrinsed and drained
- β1 cup pilaf riceuncooked
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β2 tablespoons tomato pastedissolved in 2 tablespoons water
- β2 tablespoons olive oildivided
- β1 teaspoon cuminground
- β1 teaspoon corianderground
- β1/2 teaspoon saltto taste
- β1/4 teaspoon black pepperto taste

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add the cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute.

Add the rinsed lentils, pilaf rice, and tomato paste mixture. Stir to combine.
