Malaysian Herb Pilaf
A flavorful and aromatic Malaysian-inspired pilaf dish, infused with the intensity of herbs. Perfect for a quick and easy dinner.
Ingredients
- ●1 cup Long Grain Ricepreferably day-old rice
- ●1 tsp Pilaf Spicestore-bought or homemade
- ●1/4 cup Fresh Parsleychopped
- ●1/4 cup Fresh Basilchopped
- ●1/4 cup Fresh Cilantrochopped
- ●2 tbsp Coconut Oil
- ●2 tbsp Lime Juice
- ●to taste Salt
- ●to taste Black Pepper
Instructions

Heat coconut oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.

Add pilaf spice and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

Add the chopped herbs and sauté for another minute.

Add the rice and stir to coat with oil and spice mixture.

Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the water is absorbed.

Fluff the pilaf with a fork and stir in lime juice, salt, and black pepper.
