Portuguese Danmuji Casserole
A spicy and flavorful casserole recipe that combines the intense peppery taste of danmuji with the richness of a portuguese-inspired dish.
Ingredients
- β1 cup, diced Danmuji
- β1/2 cup, sliced Portuguese Sausage
- β1 medium, chopped Onion
- β3 cloves, minced Garlic
- β1/4 cup, sliced Intense Pepper
- β1 cup Casserole Sauce
- β1 cup Shredded Cheese
- β1/2 cup Bread Crumbs
- β2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- βto taste Salt and Pepper

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook the Portuguese sausage in a pan over medium heat until browned. Remove from heat and set aside.

In the same pan, cook the onion and garlic until softened.

Add the danmuji, intense pepper, and cooked sausage to the pan. Stir to combine.

In a separate bowl, mix the casserole sauce and shredded cheese.

In a 9x13 inch baking dish, arrange half of the bread crumbs in the bottom.

Add the danmuji mixture on top of the bread crumbs.

Pour the casserole sauce mixture over the danmuji mixture.
