Smoked Bacon Onigiri
A fusion of Japanese and American flavors, these onigiri are filled with crispy smoked bacon and wrapped in a savory rice ball.
Ingredients
- β2 cups Japanese short-grain riceuncooked
- β6 slices Smoked baconthinly sliced
- β2 tbsp Intense soy sauceor regular soy sauce
- β1 cup Grated daikon radishoptional
- β1 Onigiri moldoptional
Instructions

Rinse the rice thoroughly and cook according to package instructions.

In a pan, cook the smoked bacon over medium heat until crispy.

Cut the cooked bacon into small pieces and set aside.

Mix the cooked rice with intense soy sauce and grated daikon radish (if using).

Shape the rice mixture into small triangles or rectangles.

Place a small amount of cooked bacon in the center of each triangle.
