Jamaican Swede Hash
A Caribbean-inspired twist on traditional swede hash, featuring a spicy kick.
Ingredients
- β1 large Swedepeeled and diced
- β1 tsp Jamaican Allspice
- β2 medium Hash Brown Potatoespeeled and diced
- β1 medium Charred Onion
- β1/4 tsp Intensely Spicy Pepperoptional, for extra heat
- βto taste Salt and pepper

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the diced onion and cook until charred, about 5 minutes.

Add the diced potatoes and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the diced swede and cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in the Jamaican allspice, intensely spicy pepper (if using), salt, and pepper.

Flatten the mixture slightly with a spatula and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Use the spatula to break up the mixture into small pieces.

Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the hash is crispy and golden brown.
