Slovakian Cheesy Ham Lasagna
A traditional Slovak-inspired take on the classic Italian dish, loaded with ham and an intense, cheesy sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Ground Beef
- β8-10 sheets Lasagna Noodles
- β1 cup diced Ham
- β1 cup Ricotta Cheese
- β2 cups shredded Cheddar Cheese
- β1 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper
- β1 Egg
- βchopped Fresh Parsley

1. Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

3. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

4. Add the diced ham to the skillet and cook until heated through.

5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Mix well to combine.

6. Add the egg to the cheese mixture and mix until smooth.

7. Season the cheese mixture with salt and black pepper to taste.

8. Spread a layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange 4 lasagna noodles on top of the meat sauce.

9. Spread half of the cheese mixture over the noodles, followed by half of the shredded mozzarella cheese.

10. Repeat the layers, starting with the meat sauce, noodles, cheese mixture, and finally the remaining mozzarella cheese.

11. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

12. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
