Octopus Tikka Masala
An Indian-inspired twist on the classic dish, featuring tender and flavorful octopus in a rich and creamy tomato-based sauce. This recipe is a perfect blend of Spanish and Indian flavors.
Ingredients
- β1 pound (about 450g), cleaned and cut into bite-sized pieces octopus
- β2 tablespoons spanish olive oil
- β2 teaspoons intensely flavored garam masala
- β1 can (14 oz or 397g) dense tomato puree
- β1 teaspoon Spanish smoked paprika
- β1/2 teaspoon salt
- β1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- β1 large, chopped onion
- β3 cloves, minced garlic
- β1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- β2 tablespoons (optional) chopped fresh cilantro

1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

2. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and lightly browned, about 8 minutes.
