Brazilian Cheese Casserole
A rich and creamy casserole filled with gooey cheese, perfect for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- β250g Gooey cheese blendA mix of cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan
- β500g Intensely spiced ground beefCooked with cumin, chili powder, and paprika
- β200g Casserole breadTorn into small pieces
- β1 medium OnionChopped
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β2 large EggBeaten
- β Salt and pepper
- β10g ButterMelted

Preheat the oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F).

In a large pan, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan and cook until the onion is translucent.

Stir in the cumin, chili powder, and paprika, and cook for 1 minute.

In a separate bowl, combine the gooey cheese blend, beaten eggs, and melted butter.

In a 20cm (8 inch) square baking dish, create a layer of torn casserole bread.

Top the bread with the cooked ground beef mixture, followed by the cheese and egg mixture.

Repeat the layers one more time, ending with a layer of cheese on top.

Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
