Croatian Pork Stew
A hearty and flavorful stew originating from Croatia, made with tender pork and a blend of herbs.
Ingredients
- ●1.5 lbs Pork shoulder
- ●2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- ●1 large Onion
- ●3 cloves Garlic
- ●2 medium Carrots
- ●2 large Potatoes
- ●2 tsp Croatian paprika
- ●1 tsp Salt
- ●1 tsp Black pepper

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Sear the pork until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Remove the pork and set aside.

Add more oil if necessary, then sauté the onion and garlic until softened.

Add the carrots and potatoes, cook for 5 minutes.

Add the Croatian paprika, salt, and pepper, stir to combine.

Return the pork to the pot, add enough stock to cover, and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 2 hours.
