Tunisian Tagine Stew
A hearty and flavorful stew made with a blend of aromatic spices and tender chicken. Serve over couscous for a truly authentic experience.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds Chicken Thighsbone-in, skin-on
- β2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- β1 large Onionchopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β1 Intensely Roasted Red Pepperdiced
- β2 teaspoons Tunisian Spice Blend
- β1 teaspoon Salt
- β1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
- β1 cup Taginechopped
- β2 cups Chicken Broth

Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the diced red pepper and cook for 2 minutes.

Add the Tunisian spice blend, salt, and black pepper, and stir to combine.

Add the chopped tagine and cook for 1 minute.

Add the chicken thighs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
