Brazilian Smoked Chicken Tagine
A smoky twist on the classic North African dish, featuring Brazilian spices and marinated chicken.

- β1 1/2 pounds Chicken breastBoneless and skinless
- β2 tablespoons Brazilian smoked paprika
- β2 Intensely smoky chipotle peppersin adobo sauce
- β1 tablespoon Tagine spice blend
- β2 tablespoons Olive oil
- β1 large Onionchopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β1-inch piece Gingergrated
- β1 cup Chicken broth
- β2 tablespoons Honey

Preheat your oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

In a large bowl, whisk together smoked paprika, chipotle peppers, tagine spice blend, and olive oil.

Add the chicken to the bowl and toss to coat with the spice mixture.

Heat a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside.

Add the onion, garlic, and ginger to the pot and cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the chicken broth and honey to the pot and stir to combine.

Return the chicken to the pot and cover with a lid.

Transfer the pot to the preheated oven and braise the chicken for 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through.
