Smoky Pork Dumplings
A twist on traditional Chinese dumplings using smoky pork and intensely flavorful ingredients.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Ground Pork80/20 ratio for optimal flavor
- β20 Wonton Wrappersavailable at most Asian markets
- β1 bunch Scallionschopped for added flavor
- β2 inches Gingergrated for added spice
- β2 tablespoons Soy Saucefor added depth of flavor
- β1 teaspoon Smoked Paprikafor a smoky flavor
- β1 teaspoon Saltfor added flavor
- β1/2 teaspoon Black Pepperfor added flavor

1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

2. In a large skillet, cook the ground pork over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

3. Add the grated ginger, soy sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the skillet and stir to combine.

4. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.

5. Lay a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and place a tablespoon of the pork mixture in the center.

6. Dip your finger in water and run it along the edges of the wrapper.

7. Fold the wrapper into a triangle by bringing the two opposite corners together to form a point.

8. Press the edges together to seal the dumpling.

9. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

10. Place the dumplings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with a little bit of oil.

11. Bake the dumplings in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
