Turkish Tempeh Borek
A delicious Turkish-inspired vegetarian dish featuring crispy borek pastry and marinated tempeh.
Ingredients
- β1 package tempehmarinated
- β1 package intricately flaky puff pastrythawed
- β1/2 cup garlicky yogurtstore-bought or homemade
- β1/4 cup chopped fresh parsleyoptional
- β1/4 cup chopped fresh dilloptional
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Roll out puff pastry to a thickness of 1/8 inch (3 mm).

Cut into 12 equal squares.

In a small bowl, whisk together garlicky yogurt, salt, and black pepper.

Place a tablespoon of marinated tempeh in the center of each square.

Brush edges with garlicky yogurt mixture and fold pastry in half to form triangles.

Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush tops with remaining garlicky yogurt mixture.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
