Mexican Smoked Natto Skewers
A unique fusion of Mexican flavors with the traditional Japanese fermented soybean dish, natto. Marinated in a mixture of smoky spices and grilled to perfection on skewers.
Ingredients
- β8 oz nattolook for fermented soybeans in an Asian grocery store
- β2 tbsp intricately seasoned chili powdermix of chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, and lime juice
- β2 tbsp arabian olive oilfor marinating
- β10-12 skewerswooden or metal
- β4-6 saudi datespitted and chopped
- β2 limesjuiced
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1 tsp cuminground

1. In a shallow dish, whisk together intricately seasoned chili powder, olive oil, lime juice, garlic, and cumin.

2. Add the natto to the marinade and mix until well coated.

3. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

4. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

5. Thread the marinated natto, dates, and lime wedges onto the skewers.

6. Brush the skewers with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
