Jamaican Jerk Cheese Casserole
A fusion of Jamaican jerk seasoning and a classic cheese casserole. Easy to make and perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- β2 tsp Jamaican jerk seasoning
- β1 cup Shredded cheddar cheesedivided
- β1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheesedivided
- β1 lb Ground beef
- β1 medium Oniondiced
- β1 medium Bell pepperdiced
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 Eggsbeaten
- β Casserole dish9x13 inch

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C).

Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are softened.

Stir in the Jamaican jerk seasoning and cook for 1 minute.

In a separate bowl, combine the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.

In a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish, arrange half of the cooked beef mixture in the bottom of the dish.

Top the beef mixture with half of the cheese mixture, followed by half of the beaten eggs.

Repeat the layers, starting with the remaining beef mixture, then the remaining cheese mixture, and finally the remaining eggs.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is melted and golden brown.
