Buddha's Wall Pork Katsu
A Japanese-inspired pork cutlet dish with a crunchy exterior and juicy interior, served with a sweet jammy sauce.
Ingredients
- β4 Pork cutlets
- β1 cup Bread crumbs
- β1 cup Flour
- β1/2 cup Jammy sauce
- β1/4 cup Vegetable oil
- β1/4 cup Sesame seeds
- β1 tsp Salt
- β1 tsp Pepper
- β1 Egg
- β1 cup Panko

1. In a shallow dish, mix together flour, salt, and pepper.

2. In another shallow dish, beat the egg.

3. In a third shallow dish, mix together panko and sesame seeds.

4. Season the pork cutlets with salt and pepper.

5. Dip each pork cutlet in the flour mixture, coating both sides, then in the egg, and finally in the panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

6. Heat about 1/4 cup of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

7. Add 2-3 pork cutlets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

8. Transfer the pork cutlets to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.

9. Repeat the cooking process with the remaining pork cutlets.

10. Meanwhile, heat the jammy sauce in a small saucepan over low heat.
