Lamb Tagine with Algerian Twist
A classic North African dish with a flavorful twist, featuring lamb, jammy vegetables, and a crumbly crust.
Ingredients
- β1.5 pounds Lamb shouldercut into 2-inch pieces
- β2 tablespoons Algerian spice blendavailable at Middle Eastern markets
- β1 sheet Crumbly pastrythawed, for crust
- β1 large Jammy red onionsliced, caramelized
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 tablespoons Olive oilfor cooking
- β Saltto taste
- β Black pepperto taste

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Season lamb with Algerian spice blend and salt.

Heat olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high.

Sear lamb until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add sliced onion and cook until caramelized, about 20 minutes.

Cover Dutch oven and transfer to preheated oven.
