Syrian Tagine with Jasmine Petals
A traditional Middle Eastern-inspired dish featuring the delicate flavors of rose and jasmine, perfect for a warm evening.
Ingredients
- β2 cups Syrian jasmine teastrongly brewed
- β2 tbsp Rose petal jamhomemade or store-bought
- β2 tbsp Syrian olive oilfor brushing chicken
- β1 lb Chicken breastboneless and skinless
- β1 tsp Infused rose wateroptional, for extra flavor
- β Salt and black pepperto taste
- β1 tsp Tagine spice blendor make your own with cinnamon, ginger, and cumin

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Rinse the chicken and pat dry with paper towels.

In a small bowl, mix together rose petal jam and infused rose water (if using).

Brush the chicken with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.

Place the chicken in a baking dish and spoon the rose petal mixture over the top.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.

Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.

While the chicken is baking, prepare the jasmine tea by steeping the tea leaves in boiling water for 5-7 minutes.

Strain the tea and discard the leaves.

Serve the chicken with the jasmine tea poured over the top, garnished with additional rose petals if desired.
