Jamaican Jerk Tender Tagine
A flavorful and aromatic tagine dish made with tender meat infused with the bold flavors of Jamaican jerk seasoning.
Ingredients
- β1 lb Tender meat cut into 2-inch cubesBeef or pork work well
- β2 tbsp Jamaican jerk seasoningHomemade or store-bought
- β1 large Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β1-inch piece Ginger
- β1 tsp Tagine spice mixHomemade or store-bought
- β1 can Coconut milk
- β2 cups Chicken broth
- β1 tsp Brown sugar
- β1/2 tsp Salt

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the meat and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the onion, garlic, and ginger, and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the jerk seasoning, tagine spice mix, and brown sugar, and cook for 1 minute.

Add the coconut milk, chicken broth, and salt, and stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and cook, covered, for 1 1/2 hours, or until the meat is tender.
