Pan-Seared Jewel Toned Trout with Broccoli Gratin
A simple and flavorful dish featuring pan-seared trout and a creamy broccoli gratin. Perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- ●4 4 trout fillets (jewel toned)skin removed
- ● 1 head broccolibroken into florets
- ● 2 cups grated croatian cheese
- ● 1/2 cup heavy cream
- ● 2 tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Season trout fillets with salt and pepper.

Heat 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add trout fillets and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.

Transfer trout to a baking dish and bake for 8-10 minutes or until cooked through.

In the same skillet, add remaining 1 tbsp butter. Add broccoli florets and cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes.

In a separate saucepan, combine grated cheese and heavy cream. Heat over low heat, stirring until smooth.

Pour cheese sauce over cooked broccoli and transfer to the oven.
