Spicy Korean Chicken Tagine
A fusion of Korean and North African flavors, this spicy chicken tagine is a hearty and aromatic dish. Serve over steamed rice or couscous.
Ingredients
- β4 pounds Chicken Thighs
- β2 tablespoons Jovial Olive Oil
- β2 tablespoons Spicy Korean Gochujang
- β1 teaspoon Korean Chili Flakes
- β1 teaspoon Tagine Spice Blend
- β1 Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β2 Carrots
- β2 Potatoes
- β1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro

Heat the olive oil in the bottom of a clay or ceramic tagine over medium heat.

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the chicken thighs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the gochujang, chili flakes, and tagine spice blend. Stir to combine.

Add the carrots and potatoes. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a simmer, then cover the tagine and cook over low heat for 30-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
