Norwegian Beef Stew
Hearty and comforting, this Norwegian beef stew is made with tender beef, flavorful vegetables, and a hint of Norwegian flair. It's a perfect meal for a chilly evening.
Ingredients
- β1 kg 1 kg beef stew meat
- β2 2 medium carrots
- β2 2 medium potatoes
- β1 1 large onion
- β2 2 cloves garlic
- β250ml 250ml beef broth
- β1 tbsp 1 tbsp tomato paste
- β1 tsp 1 tsp dried thyme
- β1 tsp 1 tsp salt
- β1/2 tsp 1/2 tsp black pepper

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from pot and set aside.

Add onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add carrots and potatoes and cook for 5 minutes.

Add beef broth, tomato paste, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

Return beef to pot and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 2-3 hours or until beef is tender.
