Turkish Spring Kunefe
A sweet and savory Turkish dessert inspired by the flavors of spring, featuring kunefe pastry and a charred spring onion topping.
Ingredients
- β1 package Kunefe Pastry
- β1 large, charred Spring Onionsfor garnish
- β1 large, thinly sliced Juicy Onionsfor filling
- β1 cup, crumbled Turkish Cheese
- β1 tsp Rose Water
- β1 tsp Honey
- β1/4 cup, chopped Pistachiosfor garnish

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Unroll the kunefe pastry and cut it into diamond shapes.

In a pan, caramelize the sliced juicy onions over medium heat.

Add the crumbled Turkish cheese and cook until melted.

Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture onto each diamond shape of pastry.

Roll up the pastry and place seam-side down in a baking dish.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
