Ethiopian Beef Stir Fry
A flavorful and spicy stir fry made with juicy beef and inspired by Ethiopian cuisine.
Ingredients
- β500g BeefSlice into thin strips
- β2 Juicy TomatoesChopped
- β1 OnionChopped
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β2 tsp Ethiopian Spice BlendAvailable at most African markets
- β2 tbsp Stir Fry OilVegetable or peanut oil
- βto taste SaltOptional
- βto taste Black PepperOptional
Instructions

Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.

Remove beef from wok and set aside.

Add more oil if necessary, then add onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they start to break down, about 2-3 minutes.

Add beef back into the wok and stir in Ethiopian spice blend.

Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the flavors have melded together.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Serve hot over rice or with injera bread.
