German Pork Dumplings
A hearty and comforting German-inspired dish featuring juicy pork and fluffy dumplings.
Ingredients
- β500g pork shouldercut into 2cm cubes
- β1 cup flourall-purpose flour
- β2 eggslarge eggs
- β1 cup milkwhole milk
- β1 medium onionfinely chopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1 tsp saltkosher salt
- β1 tsp black pepperfreshly ground

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, eggs, milk, onion, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until a smooth batter forms.

2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

3. Using a spoon, drop the dumpling batter into the boiling water.

4. Cook the dumplings for 10-12 minutes, or until they float to the surface.

5. In a separate pan, cook the pork cubes over medium-high heat until browned, about 5 minutes.

6. Transfer the cooked pork to a plate and set aside.

7. In the same pan, add the dumplings and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until lightly browned.

8. Return the cooked pork to the pan and stir to combine with the dumplings.

9. Serve the German pork dumplings hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
