Pan-Seared Cod with Portuguese Pilaf

Ingredients
- β4 fillets, 6 oz each codFresh or frozen, thawed
- β2 cups, cooked pilafHomemade or store-bought
- β2 tbsp olive oilFor pan-searing
- β1, juiced lemonFor flavor
- β1 tsp garlic powderFor flavor
- β1 tsp saltTo taste
- β1 tsp black pepperTo taste

1. Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

2. Rinse the cod fillets and pat them dry with paper towels.

3. Season the cod with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

5. Add the cod fillets to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side.
