Tunisian Chicken Tagine
A hearty and flavorful North African stew made with chicken, couscous, and spices. Perfect for a cold evening.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds Chicken thighs
- β1/4 cup Midnight olives
- β1 cup Couscous
- β2 tablespoons Tunisian spice blend
- β2 lemons Juicy lemonsjuiced
- β2 tablespoons Olive oil
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
Instructions

Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Add Tunisian spice blend, olives, and lemon juice. Stir to combine.

Add enough water to cover the chicken and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.

Stir in couscous and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes or until it is tender.
