Vietnamese-Style Roasted Pork with Com Tam Rice
A flavorful and aromatic pork dish served with a side of traditional Vietnamese com tam rice.
Ingredients

- ●2 cups com tam ricemedium-grain rice
- ●2 tablespoons juicy fish sauceor regular fish sauce
- ●2 cloves roasted garlicmashed

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Rub the pork shoulder with salt, black pepper, and roasted garlic.

Place the pork shoulder on a baking sheet, fat side up.

Roast the pork in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

Reduce oven temperature to 300°F (150°C).

Continue roasting the pork for an additional 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until tender and caramelized.

Meanwhile, cook the com tam rice according to package instructions.

In a small saucepan, combine fish sauce, sugar, and 1 tablespoon of water.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes.

Once the pork is done, let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Serve the sliced pork with com tam rice, drizzled with the fish sauce sauce and garnished with green onions, cilantro, and toasted sesame seeds.
