Spanish Paella-Style Japanese Serrano Ham
A fusion dish combining Japanese flavors with Spanish paella-style cooking. Serrano ham is marinated in a sweet soy sauce and sake mixture before being grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- β1 cup, thinly sliced serrano ham
- β2 cups, mixed Japanese vegetables (e.g. bell peppers, zucchini, carrots) juicy
- β2 cups, short-grain Japanese rice spanish
- β2 tablespoons soy sauce
- β2 tablespoons sake
- β1 tablespoon brown sugar
- β1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- β1 teaspoon sesame oil
- β1/4 cup, chopped green onions

2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sake, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Add sliced serrano ham and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

4. Grill marinated serrano ham for 2-3 minutes per side, or until caramelized.
