Peruvian Chicken Dumplings
A hearty and flavorful dish that combines the rich flavors of Peruvian cuisine with juicy chicken and dumplings.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Peruvian chickenboneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs
- β12-15 pieces juicy dumplingshomemade or store-bought
- β1 medium sweet onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β2 cups chicken brothlow sodium
- β1/4 cup sour creamoptional
- β1 teaspoon cuminground
- β1/2 teaspoon paprikasmoked
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add the Peruvian chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-6 minutes.

Add the chicken broth, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.

While the chicken is cooking, prepare the dumplings according to package instructions or make your own from scratch.

Once the chicken is cooked, add the dumplings to the skillet and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the dumplings are cooked through.
