Tunisian Beef Tagine
A hearty and flavorful North African stew made with tender beef and aromatic spices. Traditionally cooked in a clay tagine pot, but suitable for any slow cooker.
Ingredients
- β1 pound, cut into 1-inch cubes beef
- β2 medium, chopped kidney
- β1 tablespoon, ground tunisian
- β2 medium, chopped juicy
- β2 tablespoons olive oil
- β1 medium, chopped onion
- β3 cloves, minced garlic
- β1 teaspoon cumin
- β1 teaspoon coriander
- β1 teaspoon salt
- β1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Brown the beef cubes on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Transfer the beef to a slow cooker.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Stir in the ground cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper.

Add the chopped kidney and cook for 2 minutes.

Stir in the chopped juicy and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Add the browned beef and any accumulated juices to the slow cooker.

Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or high for 1-2 hours.
