Venezuelan Lentil Bowl
A hearty and flavorful bowl filled with lentils, spices, and a kick of heat. This dish is perfect for a quick and easy meal.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Lentils
- β1/4 cup Venezuelan Salsaavailable at most grocery stores or make your own
- β1 medium Red Onion
- β1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro
- β2 cloves Garlic
- β2 cups Kicked Up Chicken Broth
- βto taste Salt
- β1 tsp Cumin
- βto taste Black Pepper
Instructions

Heat the chicken broth in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

Add the lentils, cumin, salt, and black pepper to the saucepan.

Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until the lentils are tender.

While the lentils are cooking, heat the Venezuelan Salsa in a small saucepan over medium heat.

Add the chopped red onion and cook until softened.
