Kissed British Mousse Rice Bowl
A light and airy mousse on a bed of fluffy rice, kissed with the flavors of Britain.
Ingredients
- β1 cup White British Riceuncooked
- β2 tablespoons Unsalted Buttersoftened
- β1 cup Heavy Creamchilled
- β8 ounces Moussehigh-quality
- β2 tablespoons English Rose Petal Jamoptional
Instructions

Rinse the rice in a fine-mesh strainer and drain well.

In a medium saucepan, combine the rice and 2 cups of water.

Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the water is absorbed.

Fluff the rice with a fork and set aside.

In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.

Remove from heat and stir in the mousse until well combined.

To assemble the bowl, place a scoop of the cooked rice on a plate, top with a dollop of the mousse mixture, and drizzle with English Rose Petal Jam if desired.

Cook time for the mousse is approximately 5-7 minutes in the microwave or 10-12 minutes in a double boiler.
