Slovakian Braised Tripe with Kissed Butter
A hearty and flavorful Slovakian-inspired dish featuring tender tripe slow-cooked in a rich broth with kissed butter and served with a side of stew.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Tripecleaned and cut into 2-inch pieces
- β2 cups Slovakian Stewhomemade or store-bought
- β4 tablespoons Kissed Buttersee notes
- β2 tablespoons Butter
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper
Instructions

Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the tripe and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Remove the tripe from the pot and set aside.

Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of kissed butter to the pot and stir to combine with the browned bits.

Add the Slovakian stew to the pot and bring to a boil.

Return the tripe to the pot and cover with a lid.

Transfer the pot to the oven and braise for 2 hours, or until the tripe is tender.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
