Chinese Cassaba Bao
A traditional Chinese bao filled with sweet and charred cassaba, served with a hint of kissed sesame seeds.

Ingredients
- β1 large, peeled and chopped Cassaba
- β4 pieces, thawed Bao dough
- β2 tbsp Hoisin sauce
- β1 tsp Sesame oil
- β1 tbsp Kissed sesame seeds
- β2, chopped Scallions
- β1 tsp Charred chili flakes
- βto taste Salt
- β1 tsp Sugar
- β1 tsp Cornstarch

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

In a large bowl, mix cassaba with hoisin sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds, scallions, charred chili flakes, salt, sugar and cornstarch.

Roll out bao dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch.

Place 1/4 cup of cassaba mixture onto the center of each dough circle.

Fold dough to form a half-moon shape and press edges to seal.

Place bao on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
