Thai-Style Flaky Fish Cakes with Prik Sauce
Crispy fish cakes served with a spicy and sour prik sauce, inspired by the flavors of Thailand.
Ingredients
- β1 pound kissed flaky fishsuch as cod or tilapia
- β1/2 cup tofucrumbled
- β2 tablespoons thai red curry pastestore-bought or homemade
- β1/4 cup nam prik saucestore-bought or homemade
- β2 tablespoons prik nam plafish sauce
- β1 tablespoon fish sauceoptional
- β1 tablespoon brown sugaroptional
- β1/4 cup chopped cilantrooptional
- β1/4 cup chopped peanutsoptional

1. In a food processor, pulse the fish until it breaks down into small pieces.

2. Add the tofu, curry paste, nam prik sauce, fish sauce, and brown sugar to the food processor. Pulse until well combined.

3. Stir in the chopped cilantro and peanuts, if using.

4. Divide the mixture into 8 portions and shape each portion into a patty.

5. Heat about 1/2 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

6. When the oil is hot, add the patties and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until crispy and golden brown.
