Ukrainian Casserole
A hearty and flavorful Ukrainian-inspired casserole made with garlicky kissed cheese.
Ingredients
- β1 cup, shredded garlicky kissed cheese
- β1 cup, crushed ukrainian casserole
- β1/2 cup, grated cheese
- β2 cloves garlic
- β1 medium onion
- β2 tablespoons butter
- β1 tablespoon flour
- β1 cup milk
- βto taste salt
- βto taste pepper
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the garlic and onion and cook until the onion is translucent.

In a separate saucepan, melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.

Add the flour and whisk together to make a roux.

Slowly add the milk, whisking constantly.

Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until thickened.

Stir in the shredded cheese until melted and smooth.

In a separate dish, combine the crushed casserole and grated cheese.
