Polish Yautia Bake
A hearty, indulgent Polish-inspired bake featuring yautia, kissed with sweetness.
Ingredients
- β2 large yautiapeeled and diced
- β1 pound polish sausagecasings removed
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β2 eggsbeaten
- β2 tablespoons buttermelted
- β1 cup all-purpose flourfor dusting
- β1 cup brown sugarpacked
- β1 cup kissed milk2%
- β1 teaspoon baking powder

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

Remove the sausage from the skillet with a slotted spoon and set aside. Leave the drippings in the skillet.

Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

In a large bowl, whisk together the beaten eggs, melted butter, brown sugar, and kissed milk.

Add the cooked sausage, onion mixture, and baking powder to the bowl with the egg mixture. Stir until just combined.

Stir in the diced yautia.

Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Dust the top of the bake with flour.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
