Pan-Seared Trout Tagine
A flavorful and aromatic tagine dish made with pan-seared trout and kissed spice blend.
Ingredients
- β4 Trout filletsFresh and sustainably sourced
- β2 tbsp Kissed spice blendAvailable at local spice market
- β2 tbsp Light olive oilFor frying the trout
- β1 large Dutch onionsThinly sliced
- β2 Rainbow bell peppersSliced and seeded
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Ground black pepper
- βchopped (for garnish) Fresh parsley

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Season the trout fillets with salt and black pepper.

Heat the light olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the sliced onions and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the sliced rainbow bell peppers and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Add the trout fillets to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the trout is cooked through.

While the trout is cooking, mix together the kissed spice blend and a pinch of salt.
